Learning
We make use of an accredited curriculum provider. We follow the CAPS curriculum as well as GED for qualifying students. Learning is always facilitated by one of our lovely tutors, however, the majority of the learning content is on an online basis.
Tutoring sessions are also scheduled throughout the day to ensure optimised learning.
Grade
7 - 9
Grades 7, 8 and 9 are assigned their own classrooms with designated tutors that will be with them throughout the academic day.
The tutor ensures that the students have adequately covered their work, addresses work-related questions, and assigns daily homework to assess whether the students have grasped the concepts learned during the day.

FET
Phase
Grades 10 -12 are assigned their own classroom where they are able to independently complete their online lessons.
The students are also provided with extra tutor lessons for subjects such as Mathematics, Visual Art, Computer Applications Technology (CAT), Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD), etc.

GED
The GED students are assigned to the FET Classroom, as the students are the same age. Here they are able to independently complete their lessons.
The students are also provided with extra tutor lessons. These lessons consist of practice tests to prepare the students for their final exams.

The Homeschool Classroom
At Schoolhouse, we facilitate students who follow their assigned work schedule.
The students in their respective grades and subjects go to the tutor classes for their scheduled tutor lessons.
This has proven successful over a course of many years - it also instils a sense of responsibility and self-discipline in the students and teaches them how to self-study and work independently.
This, of course, helps them in their studies after school.
Research reveals that homeschooled students achieve higher academic success in college and view their entire college experience more enjoyable.
